The "TerryBator" kit was designed from the original DIY Incubator featured on Coturnix Corner. We have received several request to offer this incubator in kit form, so after months of planning we have released the new design.

The new model is two inches shorter than the original yet still holds the same number of eggs and offers better heat and humidity control. The original DIY incubator has been built by hundreds of people with very high degree of success in hatching quail, chickens, ducks, geese and even emu.

EASY TO ASSEMBLE: All parts are CNC machined for a perfect fit, and designed to fit together only one way making assembly easy even for those with little to no experience. The kit includes everything needed to build the cabinet including the acrylic plexiglass window, two light sockets for the heating elements, and precut wood trim pieces for the turner rails and door hardware.

The cabinet is built from 1" extruded polystyrene foam board (Foamular 150) and offers an thermal resistance or R value of 5, and holds temperatures very well for a successful hatch. The service temperature of the foam is 165 degrees, well above the 99.5 degree incubation temperature making for a safe construction material.

Note: This kit is for the cabinet only and does not include foam adhesive or acrylic caulk needed for assembly. Both can be purchased from any big box home improvement stores. The fans, temperature regulator, heating elements or electrical wiring needed to complete the incubator must be purchased separately. Nor does it include accessories such as egg turners or hatching baskets.

Because of the nature of the foam, slight inconsistencies, scratches or marring may be present on the surface but will not affect the operation or assembly of the cabinet.
